Hey, I’m Jake! I’m an Iowa City-based wedding photographer & videographer serving Iowa and wherever else you’ll take me! (Adventurous outdoor elopements & destination weddings are welcome! 😉)

I blend my background in Cinema & Journalism to capture your love story in a way that feels authentically you, beautifully cinematic, and with minimal disruption to your day.

I shoot on both digital and 35mm film, whether you want a look that’s clean and modern, or one with that warm, timeless charm. I hand-develop and scan my own film to ensure highest quality, consistency, and safety from the risks of damage/loss from shipping out to 3rd party labs.

FAQ

Do you have a team of other shooters for packages with more than 1 photographer/videographer?

For packages with multiple shooters, I have a trusted network of other photographers/videographers that I regularly work with whose professionalism and expertise match my own.

“We’re not sure whether we want video or not. Can we book just photography for now and add video later if we decide to?”

You COULD add video later, but that depends on if my other shooters are still available by that time. Plus you’d also miss out on the discount of bundling both services together if you book them separately!

Do you require an upfront deposit?

Yes, I do require a deposit of 25% the full cost of services to be made when booking. This deposit is part of your final bill, not an extra payment. This ensures I can save your date in my schedule and turn down any other work for that day.
